The College of Agriculture at the University of Basra is holding a large conference in cooperation with the local union of agricultural cooperative societies.

In cooperation with the local union of agricultural cooperative societies in Basra, a conference was held in the Martyr Mohammed Mohsen Badan Hall at the college.

The conference aimed to exchange scientific expertise and provide free and subsidized services to farmers, as well as explore ways to develop the agricultural sector by transferring the latest agricultural technologies and modern practices to the field.

The conference was attended by a number of college professors, researchers, and specialists in the agricultural field, along with heads of agricultural societies and representatives of the local union. The program included scientific lectures, panel discussions, and presentations of successful field experiences in modern agriculture, sustainable water resource management, and pest control.

In his address, the Dean of the College of Agriculture emphasized the importance of this cooperation in serving the community and strengthening the partnership between the university and agricultural institutions. He noted that the college continues to support research projects and field initiatives that contribute to developing agricultural production and achieving food security in the governorate.

For his part, the head of the local union of agricultural cooperative societies in Basra praised this initiative, commending the role of the University of Basra and the College of Agriculture in supporting farmers and providing scientific and technical consultations that enhance the efficiency of agricultural work.

At the conclusion of the conference, it was agreed to organize joint workshops and training courses in the coming period to strengthen cooperation and implement the scientific recommendations on the ground.
