The Consulting Office at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, signs a partnership agreement with Al-Fares United Group for Agricultural Business to develop agricultural and afforestation projects.

Based on its pioneering role in supporting agricultural development and strengthening cooperation between the academic and productive sectors, the Consulting Office at the College of Agriculture, University of Basra, signed a partnership agreement with Al-Fares United Group for Agricultural Business in January 2021 for a period of one year. The agreement aims to design and implement projects related to the agricultural sector, including afforestation and cultivation projects for government departments, the public, private, and mixed sectors.

This cooperation comes within the framework of exchanging scientific and technical expertise between the two parties, contributing to raising the efficiency of agricultural project implementation according to modern scientific principles and sustainable environmental standards.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture emphasized that this agreement represents a successful model of integration between the university and the business sector, as it aims to apply the results of scientific research in the field and enhance the university's role in supporting agricultural development plans and improving the local environment.

For his part, the representative of Al-Fares United Group expressed his pride in cooperating with the University of Basra, affirming that this partnership will contribute to developing integrated agricultural projects that serve various sectors and support afforestation and plant diversity initiatives in the governorate.
